October is more than glowing jack-o-lanterns, candy corn, and rustling autumn leaves…it is also Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Bountiful Fruits is going pink in honor of those who are currently battling this life-threatening disease, in remembrance of the courageous women we have lost, and to celebrate the SURVIVORS! Through my Pink Ribbons and Roses Project, I hope to spread awareness and help save lives.
Perhaps it seems a bit unconventional to utilize the adult nursing relationship as a way to spread awareness, but it really isn’t as off the beaten path as some might think! After all, nothing truly allows us–or our partners–to become more aware of our breasts. We begin to recognize our normal, become very attuned to our bodies, and grow quite conscious of any changes that arise. And our partners, who spend so much time at the breast, come to know our ta-tas almost as well as we do! Early detection can help to save lives, and so can ANR.
During October, I’ll be sharing breast cancer information and articles on awareness and prevention, and you can download free breast cancer awareness wallpaper for your iPhone.
